What people are saying about Syntropy…
I have had several excellent conversations with Grant, where we have explored how to make complex ideas and tools as simple and accessible as possible. I appreciate the rigour of his thought and quality of his ethics, and he has given me a lot of inspiration in the work I do with The Partnering Initiative (TPI). At TPI we are always looking for new creative ways to engage people in thinking about partnering and collaboration for the sustainable development goals, and we have a lot of experience of toolkit development. But there is a beautiful clarity to the Syntropy toolkit which belies a huge amount of thought including the field of behavioural engineering and the use of modular practices, which together provide some really useful pointers for us as we continue to develop and refine our partnering tools.

At Freeform (a division of the Disney/ABC Television group), we think and strategize our business model and our content around our brand (“a little forward”) via our storytelling. Naturally, our approach to achieving those goals need to line up with what that brand means. It is imperative that we are mindful and purposeful in our intent and about the messages we communicate to the world. While we want to be profitable, we aim to do so by making a positive impact. So it seemed constructive to engage Syntropy at the start of a series season’s writers period to help us hone in first on why we were all pursuing this industry in the first place, second...why this show (“Shadowhunters”) and lastly what themes met our ideals for the season. To that end, Syntropy facilitated a workshop that helped us to reconnect with our own personal, inspiring stories and think about why we chose to work at or with Freeform and also why Freeform chose us.
Through guided meditation, journaling and small group sessions we were able to tap into our authentic selves. This inner work has helped the team to feel more energized and passionate about their daily work as they feel aligned to a deeper purpose and can thereafter inform and infuse the characterizations and plot mechanisms of the fictional stories. By gaining a better grasp of the authenticity in our own lives, it helped us augment the authenticity of the relationships in the series.
Best.

Working with Syntropy, we were able to re-energize the Internal Audit team by shifting the focus from the day-to-day activities ("the what") to the deeper purpose or "the why" in what we do. The team needed a bridge to connect their daily tasks (gathering data, presenting findings and writing reports) to the strategy and operations of the company. Syntropy helped us to re-frame the way we described our work to order to help us to see our relevance and impact within the company: we are “bringing order to chaos” and "enabling the Executive Team and Board to manage critical risks and make tough business decisions." These seemingly small shifts in mindset have increased the team's energy and productivity, as well as given them a sense of team cohesion and pride in their shared contributions to the company. Thank you!
